The heavy rains of the last days painted the Torto river of very unusual colors for this time of the year. This light brow/ golden color, that is in the origin of the name of the Douro river, which in Portuguese means golden, use to be seen during the winter, when the rains bring down the hill all that mud.
These days, is the Torto river which looks like the Douro river, or better, the golden river.

As fortes chuvadas dos últimos dias pintaram o Rio Torto de uma cor pouco usual para esta época do ano. Este tom castanho claro, dourado, que está na origem do nome do Rio Douro, costuma ser visto durante o Inverno, quando as águas da chuva trazem terra pela encosta abaixo, formando uma lama dourada.
Durante estes dias é o Rio Torto que se assemelha ao Rio Douro, ou melhor dito, ao rio dourado.
