Some of the best grapes from a single harvest from our main property, Quinta Vale d’Agodinho. Aged for 4 years in seasoned balseiros to produce a soft yet deep and complex LBV with great aging potential.
Dark ruby
Concentration of red fruit such as raspberry and strawberry, with hints of black pepper.
Full-bodied with good structure, packed with tannins and fruit flavors. Fine acidity with great length and a spicy finish.

Viticulture:
Wet weather during flowering reduced the fruit set, which helped increase the concentration and overall quality of the grapes. Few showers prior to the harvest brought freshness to the vineyards, helping the vines get a last breath to finish the ripening.
Fermentation:
Totally destemmed and crushed grapes, followed by a slow fermentation with temperature control up to 27ºC degrees.
Aging:
Aged for 4 years in seasoned balseiros. Soft filtration. Bottled in July 2012.
