Winemaking Details
Viticulture:
In 2024, the Douro Valley experienced a balanced growing season, with a cool and rainy winter that replenished water reserves, followed by a mild spring that ensured uniform budburst. The summer brought stable temperatures and low disease pressure, promoting a gradual ripening of the grapes. A late heat spike was managed through careful canopy management, resulting in healthy, concentrated grapes of exceptional quality. Overall, 2024 promises elegant and well-structured wines, with vibrant acidity and fine tannins. Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 24°C, with gentle extraction and 10 days of skin maceration, preserving the fresh red fruit character and the wine’s vibrancy. Ageing: Maintained in stainless steel tanks until bottling.
