White Colheita
This White Port Colheita 1986 marks a defining moment in the history of the Douro and the Quevedo family. Produced in the year Portugal joined the European Economic Community, it reflects the beginning of a new era of independence for small family producers, who were finally able to bottle their wines under their own name, directly at the origin. Aged with time and patience, it now reveals a deep and intense profile, where richness and freshness coexist in rare and lasting balance.

Deep gold
AROMA
Intense aromatic profile, with dominant notes of orange jam, candied fruit, and marmalade. As the wine opens in the glass, layers of honey and caramel emerge, followed by an elegant finish marked by dried fruits such as hazelnuts and caramelized almonds.
PALATE
A wine of great richness and depth, with an unctuous texture and significant volume on the palate. The sweetness is balanced by a notably firm and precise acidity, which brings freshness and defines a very long, clean, and persistent finish.

Winemaking Details
Viticulture:
The 1986 growing season featured a long, dry summer that reduced vine vigor and resulted in smaller, more concentrated grapes. The lack of water favored a slow and balanced ripening, while mid-September rains helped restore balance to the vines in the final stage.
Fermentation:
Fermented in traditional granite lagares with foot treading.
Aging:
Wine from a single harvest, aged for four decades in a 550l chestnut wood cask, allowing for gradual and controlled oxidative ageing.
