1968 Celebration Old Tawny Port
This Tawny Port from the1968 harvest was produced by our grand parents and nurtured for 3 generations in our cellars. A limited quantity from our family reserve was bottled. It represents the apex of Tawny Port aging in our cellar.
TASTING NOTES
Colour
Bright fawn color with consistent tone from center to the edge, showing good saturation for such an old Port
AROMA
The nose is intense and precise, displaying a complex range of aromas, from honey, candied citrus peel, marmalade, all spices, tobacco and touch of smokiness.
PALATE
The wine enters smoothly but rapidly the acidity kicks in to provide ideal balance and support for the lingering crême brulée notes. This Port makes you keep asking for more!

Winemaking Details
Fermentation:
Foot treaded and fermented in old granite vats (Lagares).
Aging:
Once fermentation was completed, it was transferred to barrels and stayed quietly there until bottled.
