Q.LAB – Folgasão
The Q.Lab range is a collection of experimental and limited-production wines that explore the diversity of the Douro through innovation, precision, and respect for terroir.
A distinctive white wine made from the rare Folgasão (Terrantez) grape, a variety slowly disappearing from the Douro, preserved through a 2.5-hectare planting by our father in 2016.
Partly malolactic and aged five months in Hungarian oak, yielding a fresh, aromatic white with a creamy, full-bodied character.

Winemaking Details
Viticulture:
The 2025 vintage was marked by a hot and dry summer, which favored steady ripening and excellent grape health. Despite moderate yields, the vines produced fruit with great concentration and aromatic intensity. Stable conditions during the ripening period allowed for a remarkable balance between richness and freshness. Winemaking: The grapes were gently pressed and underwent cold settling before fermentation in used 500L French and Hungarian oak barrels. Fermentation occurred with indigenous yeasts at 16–20°C, with slight oxidative handling to enhance complexity.
Aging:
Aged for 8 months in 500L French and Hungarian oak barrels, with regular bâtonnage. Bottled in March 2026.
Winemaker:
Mariana Rosária
FOOD PAIRING
Service temperature: 7-10ºC Grilled salmon or tuna, as well as Japanese cuisine dishes like sushi and sashimi.
