Winemaking Details
Viticulture:
The 2024 Douro vintage had a balanced growing season, with a cool, wet winter followed by a mild spring. Late spring and summer brought steady warmth, allowing for gradual ripening. A heat spike in late July was managed with timely canopy management. The vineyards produced healthy, concentrated fruit, with white grapes harvested in early September. 2024 promises elegant, structured wines with vibrant acidity.
Fermentation:
The white varieties (Viosinho, Arinto, Gouveio, Fernão Pires) were hand-picked at optimal ripeness, chilled, and gently pressed. After cold settling, fermentation occurred at 15°C in stainless steel, with regular bâtonnage for texture. The process lasted 15–20 days, resulting in wines with precision and expression.
Aging:
Aged in stainless steel for 4 months with frequent bâtonnage.
Winemaker:
Mariana Rosária
