My life has been changing a little bit since we started this blog, 9 months ago. The best part is that the subject you write about is related with wine, so it is not difficult to imagine how much fun you end up having. Some of the most interesting moments happen when we meet offline the people with who we talk online. I always try to participate or to make this offline meetings happen because its the best way to strength a friendship.
I want to share with you the upcoming meetings I have already arranged for the next months:
- Friday April 24th, Catavino and Somni.org are organizing the first Twitter Taste Live in Spanish. I will participate from the Madrid room, where I hope to meet a dozen of wine bloggers
- Beginning of May we will have the honor to receive in our winery the visit of Mr. Roy Hersh, a leading Port Wine authority, and some other participants of the forum ForTheLoveOfPort
- During the Vinexpo wine fair, in Bordeaux, the French blogger Emmanuelle Dupéré from the Blog Dupéré Barrera is organizing a meeting in Chateau Luchey-haide
- Last week-end of June some new friends who I met also in the forum ForTheLoveOfPort (as you can see not just a great place to learn about Port but also to meet wine lovers) will come to visit us; some tastings of ours and other Port producers Ports will take place
- End of July, starting on my birthday, the 24th, will take place in Sonoma and Napa, California, the American Wine Bloggers Conference. I am not sure if I will make it but I would love to go… maybe is my birthday gift!
- And at the end of October, in Lisbon the insuperable team Opaz & McIntosh with the collaboration of the buddies from Adegga will put up the second edition of the European Wine Bloggers Conference
As you see the bloggers meeting season is about to start. If you want to meet somewhere, just have to drop a line!

A vida de um blogger é quase sempre divertida. E se o assunto sobre o qual escreve está relacionado com vinho, então certamente imagina como é fácil andar com um sorriso nos lábios. Um das coisas mais interessantes da vida de um blogger é quando conhece offline as pessoas com quem fala pela internet, ou seja, quando as vê cara a cara, de pele e osso. Ainda que nem sempre seja fácil, procuro participar nestes encontros ou até mesmo proporcioná-los. É a melhor maneira de fazer uma boa amizade!
Durante os próximos meses tenho já marcados alguns desses tão desejados encontros:
- sexta-feira 24 de Abril, Catavino e Somni.org estão a organizar o primeiro Twitter Taste Live em espanhol, ou seja uma prova de vinhos feita por internautas, na qual trocam comentários entre si sobre os vinhos em prova. Tudo isto via Internet. Eu estarei fisicamente na sala de Madrid a fazer os meus comentários para todo o mundo;
- no inicio de Maio vamos ter a honra de receber na nossa adega o Sr. Roy Hersh, um dos mais destacados críticos de Vinho do Porto e mais alguns participantes do forum ForTheLoveOfPort;
- durante a Vinexpo, em Bordéus, o blogger francês Emmanuelle Dupéré do Blog Dupéré Barrera vai organizar um encontro no Chateau Luchey-haide;
- na última semana de Junho, uns novos amigos que conheci também no fórum ForTheLoveOfPort (como podem ver um belo sitio não só para aprender sobre Vinho do Porto mas também para conhecer pessoas divertidas) virão visitar-nos. Vamos provar os nossos vinhos e outros de outros produtores do Douro;
- no final de Julho, vai ter lugar em Sonoma e Napa, California, the American Wine Bloggers Conference. Começa dia 24, no meu dia de aniversário. Ainda não sei se vou estar presente, mas garanto que adoraria… talvez seja a prenda de anos!!
- e no final de Outubro, em Lisboa, a insuperável equipa Opaz & McIntosh com a colaboração dos três meninos do Adegga vão-nos proporcionar a segunda edição da European Wine Bloggers Conference.
