Vintage Port
Vintage Port represents the pinnacle of the Douro, capturing the identity of a single year with precision and longevity. The 2024 vintage reflects Quevedo’s commitment to balance and elegance, favouring freshness and structure over excess.
Crafted for long-term ageing, it is a wine that will reward patience, evolving in complexity and refinement over time, while already showing the poise and less sweet character that define our house style.
TASTING NOTES
Colour
Dark opaque ruby
AROMA
The 2024 Vintage Port reflects both the character of the year and Quevedo’s hallmark style of precision and restraint. Aromatically expressive yet finely tuned, it opens with lifted notes of fresh blackberries, wild forest fruits, and delicate floral hints, supported by subtle layers of spice and dark chocolate.
PALATE
On the palate, it shows remarkable balance, combining depth and structure with a notably drier profile than the classic Vintage expression. The fruit is pure and focused, framed by firm, well-integrated tannins and a vibrant acidity that brings freshness and definition. This interplay creates a wine of clarity and poise, avoiding excess sweetness while preserving richness and intensity.

Winemaking Details
Viticulture:
The 2024 growing season in the Douro Valley was balanced and promising. A cool, wet winter replenished vital water reserves, followed by a mild spring that ensured an even budburst across the vineyards. Late spring and summer brought consistent warmth with low disease pressurowing for slow and steady ripening. A brief heat spike from late July to early August was carefully managed through timely canopy work, highlighting its increasing importance in the face of more frequent heatwaves. By late September, we began harvesting the grapes for this blend, with vineyards showing healthy, concentrated fruit of exceptional quality. Overall, 2024 yielded an elegant and structured wine with vibrant acidity and refined tannins.
